We aim to establish an equitable supply chain for all our domestic and overseas\n        business partners. We are committed to procuring sustainable palm oil-related products by eliminating deforestation,\n        respecting human rights, and supporting local communities. We strive to build and maintain supply chains based\n        on this ethos. Based on this policy, we work closely with stakeholders to comply with regulations and laws\n        related to the protection of forests, peatlands, human rights, and local communities. As a downstream user of\n        palm derivatives, we aim to promote and implement the NDPE policy throughout our supply chain.\n      <\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <p class=\"headline-new\">Sustainability Policy<\/p>\n\n  <h3 id=\"03\" class=\"headline-lv4\">NIKKOL ECO-Friendly Policy and Product Definitions<\/h3>\n  <div class=\"row row-md gap-mb4 container04-ef\">\n    <div class=\"col\">\n      <p>\n        The NIKKOL GROUP considers sustainability a key management issue. In 2022, we established the \u201cNIKKOL\n        ECO-Friendly Policy\u201d as our highest-level policy. This policy aims to reduce environmental impact and promote\n        sustainable business activities from both social and economic perspectives. It is structured around the themes\n        of \u201cEthical,\u201d \u201cClimate,\u201d and \u201cOrigin.\u201d Based on this policy, we define products that contribute to the\n        environment and society as \u201cECO-Friendly products\u201d and strive to promote their use. We have set minimum\n        requirements, such as Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification and palm-free standards.\n        Furthermore, we categorize our products under the themes of \u201cEthical,\u201d \u201cClimate,\u201d and \u201cOrigin.\u201d This approach\n        allows us to offer our customers products with added value, including traceability, high biodegradability, and\n        environmentally friendly manufacturing methods. The\n        NIKKOL GROUP aims to maintain a sustainable supply system and conserve biodiversity. As part of this approach,\n        Nippon Surfactant Industries and Nikko Chemicals (Singapore) have acquired RSPO Supply Chain Certification to\n        manufacture RSPO Mass Balance (MB) products. As of 2024, 97.97% of palm derivatives purchased and manufactured\n        by NIKKOL GROUP are RSPO MB certified.\n      <\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n  <div class=\"col container04-3-imgs\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nikkol.co.jp\/wp-content\/themes\/nikkol-ver1\/assets\/images\/csr\/csr04-new\/ren-photo04-02.png\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nikkol.co.jp\/wp-content\/themes\/nikkol-ver1\/assets\/images\/csr\/csr04-new\/ren-photo04-03-en.png\" \/>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <h3 id=\"05\" class=\"headline-lv4\">Participation in ASD<\/h3>\n  <div class=\"row row-md container04-4\">\n    <div class=\"col\">\n      <p>\n        \u201cASD\u201d (Action for Sustainable Derivatives) is an alliance of palm and soybean derivatives\u2019 user companies in the\n        personal care industry. By strictly managing the entire supply chain, including production areas (farms and\n        plantations), processing facilities, oleochemical producers and final manufacturers of cosmetics, ASD is\n        pursuing transparency and reducing environmental and social risks (such as deforestation, human rights\n        violations, etc.). Nikko Chemicals is the first company in Japan to join ASD. As of February 2025, the\n        traceability of palm oil derivatives handled by NIKKOL GROUP is 95% up to the refineries, 93% up to the mills,\n        and 72% up to the plantations.\n      <\/p>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n  <div class=\"col container04-4-imgs\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ren-photo04-04-en.png\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ren-photo04-05-en.png\" \/>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"row row-md gap-mb4 container04-5\">\n    <div class=\"col gmp\">\n      <h3 id=\"06\" class=\"headline-lv4 csr-headicon_earth_left\">EFfCI GMP Certification<\/h3>\n      <p>\n        In February 2013, Nippon Surfactant Industries\u2019 Utsunomiya Factory became the first in Japan to receive EFfCI\n        GMP certification, the European standard for cosmetic ingredients. This certification reinforces hygiene control\n        items not covered by ISO 9001 and enables quality control specifically for the production of cosmetic\n        ingredients. In December of the same year, the company passed the maintenance audits for EFfCI GMP and ISO\n        9001:2008 (updated since to ISO 9001:2015). The Nasu Factory also received certification in February 2025. With\n        this, all Nippon Surfactant Industries\u2019 facilities are now EFfCI GMP certified.\n      <\/p>\n      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nikkol.co.jp\/wp-content\/themes\/nikkol-ver1\/assets\/images\/csr\/csr04-new\/ren-photo04-06.png\" \/>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col eco\">\n      <h3 id=\"07\" class=\"headline-lv4 csr-headicon_stars\">EcoVadis<\/h3>\n      <p>\n        EcoVadis is a corporate sustainability assessment system provided by EcoVadis SAS, an independent assessment\n        organization.
