Open Laboratory

Having trouble with your formulation?
Let’s experiment and find a solution together!

We call it our “Open Laboratory” because it is open to our customers for training and research.
Since its establishment in 1976 as one of Nikko Chemicals’ laboratory, many customers from various industries have used the facility, including cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food product manufacturers.
In addition to providing basic training, we also provide applied technical training for experienced technicians, as well as training programs that aim to shorten product development periods for manufacturers, where you are free to choose the theme for your course.

Open Laboratory Research Curriculum

“BYO(Bring Your Own) Theme” Courses

Examples of Past Themes

  • We have a pharmaceutical formulation, but it is not stable over time.
    How can we modify it?
  • We have a W/O sunscreen formulation, but it is too abrasive.
  • We want to add water-repellant properties to a formulation.

In this course, we provide advice based on the development theme, make a prototype, and analyze it.
You can improve your formulations through discussion, evaluation, and review with our specialized researchers.
If you have any problems with your formulation, please do not hesitate to discuss it with us.
Some examples of issues can include having trouble with a certain ingredient mixture, or having trouble with the stability of a certain formulation.
We can also cater to themes other than cosmetics upon request, such as pharmaceuticals or food products.
