As part of our efforts to promote SDGs, we have become the first Japanese company to become a member of the “Action for Sustainable Derivatives”, pursuing transparency regarding our palm oil derivatives and palm oil-derived products supply chain.
Action for Sustainable Derivatives (ASD) brings together companies in the cosmetics, home and personal care, and oleochemicals industries to address global supply chain issues around palm oil and palm kernel oil derivatives. This initiative facilitates the sharing of information, data, constraints, and solutions in order to comprehensively transform the complex palm derivatives sector.
By becoming an ASD member, Nikko Chemicals will be aiming for the following objectives, enabling us to continue delivering products that come from supply chains with even greater transparency to both our regional and global customers.
1. Transparency regarding our palm oil derivatives and palm oil-derived products supply chain
2. Reliable and sound selection of suppliers by our Purchasing Headquarters
3. Comprehensive risk management in our operations based on information obtained from ASD
